09-25-2007, 4:53 PM Kona Kai Joined on 05-12-2007 Posts 22 Lena Headey Movie Project Summary At the start of the summer I assigned myself all of the Lena Headey movies in the hopes of reviewing her work and making note of her progress. I was able to watch quite a few, however, I have not been able to finish all of her films. In spite of falling short of my goal, I would like to offer the following comments. In my opinion, I think Lena Headey is a very bright, talented, passionate actress. She is very diverse and is never disappointing, she does not miss her mark, which I find laudable since some of the scripts were not really out of the ordinary. I think her greatest strenghth lies in her ability to convey complex human emotion, the blood, guts and gore of raw passionate life events, those that come about unexpectedly as well as the known challenges of life that come about from every day to day events. In one of her many interviews posted on this site Lena speaks about the plot twists of IMAY and she describes it best as the everything of the main charactors lives being thrown up in the air, falling down and then making a life out of the outcome. So true. I think Lena could have much success in the arena of human misery, plots that depict suffering and emotional turmoil, maybe not exciting or enjoyable work for her but I really think she could make her mark. She has a knack for pulling out the raw guts of her charactor and showing the internal struggles that we all face and experience. I wish Lena well and look forward to watching more of her work as her career continues to move forward. KoanaKai    Report
