MATTHEW GOODE (Heck)
Newcomer Matthew Goode made his first major
film appearance in SOUTH, a biopic of Gerald Brennan directed by Fernando
Colomo, in which Goode played Brennan in what has now become something
of a cult film.
More recently Goode starred in the romantic
comedy CHASING LIBERTY in 2004, playing the male lead opposite Mandy Moore.
He has a major role in Woody Allen's MATCH POINT, starring alongside Scarlett
Johansson, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and Emily Mortimer, and has just finished
filming a leading role opposite Ed Harris and Diane Kruger in COPYING
BEETHOVEN directed by Agnieska Holland.
Goode has previously appeared in a number of television dramas, including
the popular BBC crime thriller "The Inspector Lynley Mysteries,"
"Marple: A Murder Is Announced" And "Confessions Of An
Ugly Stepsister" with Stockard Channing and Jonathan Pryce. Goode
recently starred opposite Imelda Staunton in the BBC's "My Family
and Other Animals."
Goode also starred in Anthony Trollope's
classic romantic drama HE KNEW HE WAS RIGHT, directed by Tom Vaughan for
the BBC. Goode's theatre credits include Ariel in Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST
and Moon in Lorca's BLOOD WEDDING for the Mercury Theater Company.
